'Paint Mum's Portrait' Competition On Wednesday 7th May 2008, judging of the school art competition entitled 'Paint Mum's Portrait' commenced in the Jam Factory shopping centre. The competition, tied in with Mothers Day, received entries from over 350 students aged between 6 and 17. Four winners were chosen in the categories 'Most Lifelike' and 'Most Original Interpretation'. The exhibition is on display from Wednesday 7th - Monday 26th May.
Superbad Red Carpet Premiere On Monday the 17th of September 2007 three up and coming Hollywood stars Michael Cera, Jonah Hill and Christopher Mintz-Plasse descended on the Jam Factory for mischief and mayhem at the Australian Premiere of Superbad. Australia’s funniest in showbiz were in tow including comedy duo Hamish and Andy, Ryan Shelton, and model Megan Gale.
Hairspray Red Carpet Premiere Friday 7th September 2007 saw Hollywood celebrities Zac Efron and Nikki Blonski visit The Jam Factory to promote their new musical comedy 'Hairspray'. MC'd by Marc Holden, the sixties-themed event was also attended by stars such as Rove McManus, Dave Hughes, Gina Riley and Jules Lund.
